Community Guidelines - Political Content

Hey everyone,

I need to address something that's come up recently in our Discord community. We've had several people reach out to support about political content being posted, and honestly, it's gotten to the point where some members are feeling uncomfortable and even considering leaving.

Look, I know we have great people in this community - that's not in question at all. But here's the thing: we need to respect that everyone has different political views, and our Discord isn't the place to share them.

Here's our policy:

No political content. Period.

This means:

  • No political jokes (even if you think they're harmless)
  • No commentary about political figures
  • No politically charged memes or opinions
  • Nothing that leans one way or the other politically

I'll be honest - I think most of our active community probably leans a certain direction politically, and that's fine. But we have members on all sides of the spectrum, and when people start feeling like they don't belong here because of their beliefs, that's a problem I have to fix.

What's still okay:

If it's directly related to trading opportunities, we can discuss:

  • Fed announcements and monetary policy
  • Government economic policies that move markets
  • Company news that impacts stock prices
  • Regulatory changes affecting our trades

Basically, if it's about making money in the markets, we're good. If it's about your political opinions, keep it elsewhere.

How this works:

I'm asking everyone to police themselves here. We're all adults, and I'd rather not have to be the content police. But if something gets posted that Joe, Lynn, or I see as political commentary, we're going to delete it. No warnings, no discussions - it's gone.

If you want to share political opinions, Facebook and other platforms are perfect for that. Our Discord is for trading, learning, and building each other up as traders.

Bottom line:

I love this community and everyone in it. We've built something special here, and I'm not going to let political disagreements tear it apart. Some of you might think this is overkill, but when members are reaching out saying they're uncomfortable and thinking about leaving, I have to act.

We're here to make money and help each other become better traders. Let's keep it focused on that.

Thanks for understanding, and thanks for making this community what it is.
